Hi, I would really appreciate some advice out there. Please read my story carefully as i need some guidence on what to do.
My ex has recently had a baby. It was only until after it was over did she tell me that she was pregnant. The trouble is, we dont know who the father is as after the realtionship ended, she went back with her ex (about a week later) The baby is either mine or his.
The real problem is however, is that she doesnt seem to care who the father is. Its too much hassle for her. *I* want to know though. She would prefer to just raise the baby on her own, but i want to know if i am a father or not. I think its only fair that she allows a paternity test (which she doesnt) so i can know, the baby can know, and to let my own famliy know that there is a new member.
She doesnt seem to understand that it takes TWO people to make a baby.
I cant speak for the other guy, i dont even know him, but he doesnt seem to care that much about it, but I do.
The other part of the problem is that i cant afford a paternity test yet. Im a student and am having difficulty finding a job. I told her that i am willing to pay for it once i graduate and start working, but that wont be for a few months.
So what to do i do? How can i get her to understand that its important to me? I only want to raise a child if i know its mine, but i cant tell its mine unless i get a paternity test. which she wont allow...
