You will need a lot of light for high key.
You can start experimenting using 500 watt work lights you can buy at home stores like Home Depot for under $40 a pair.
You will need a key and fill light and a couple of background lamps to blast the background so it is at least three stops hotter than your base exposure. These lights and some white background paper (Savage) you should be set.
Once you have your technique worked out, you can start buying some excellent incandescent lamps like Lowel Tota-light 750 watt lamps
