need help on "why whaling should not be banned"...debating....on negative?

can you please help me on all or one of these points.
1. benefits of whaling
2.cultural practices
3. how many whales are actually being kille and what affect does ithave on the ocean/ sea...
any help would be appreciated..... and please don't post silly comments on how whaling should be banned... i think it should be banned but it is an assignment!
