I have a 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Here's the problem: Someone tried to steal it and cut the cord/wire that connects to the ignition. So I took it to a shop and they told me that I need to get an entire ignition switch because the cord is not sold alone and they can not repair it without a new ignition. Is this correct?? They are trying to charge me an arm and a leg to replace this one cord. That's all that is wrong with the bike. Is there anything else I can do to fix this...can I order just the cord or do I need the entire ignition switch replaced? Please help with this...I hope I explained the situation correctly.
