need help Instinct flash!!

well this is frustrating.... the local store tells me i need a shorter nuraber for some strange reason.... and customer service tells me that they cannot process the change that i need to go to a cricket store to get it done
 
Cricket takes MEID's just tell them your new esn and if they are being goof balls about it PM me with your account info and ill take a look at it, also make sure you zero out your SPC on your phone once you do that DONT and i must say this again DONT use *228 USE *2 and the phone will OTA just fine, some i as a habit go into the phone put in a Nuraber like this

MDN:000-000-1234
MIN:000-000-4567

and retstart the phone and OTA

Done deal

on any sprint phone for the most part after you load up the cricket PRL ialwasy just use *2 and its worked out for me just fine.
 
Also, be advised that, even if your phone will not OTASP via *228--so long as you have the MDN/MIN, SID/NID, IMSI, etc. properly provisioned--you should still be able to send and receive voice and SMS text only for this phone. Just manually load the PRL of your choice.

As a reminder, WAP, MMS, and Brew will NOT work, as this is a non-PDA Sprint hanRABet.

Unfortunately, you will also not be able to get GPS to work. If you are serious about the GPS feature, consider an HTC Touch OR Mogul.

sprint samsungs do not *228, they *should* connect via *2 to the OTASP system tho. if this fails just hand program your min/mdn and correct prl (if you need roaming).
 
Its a problem when it has been discussed over and over and over. Yea your asking a simple question but if you would do a simple search you would find your answer. You would even find how to get mobile web working on it as well.

Bottom line...............SEARCH!!!
