The block serial number is "IND5A233073". There is a data plate on the side that says the engine model is a 5A-422 but that doesn't seem to help the guy at the parts house.
I'm looking the CID, year and any other information I can get.
The motor is in a 1950's Clark aircraft tow tug. The clutch is fried and now is the perfect time to get some work done on this engine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know much about this except that Chrysler used flat head sixes up into 1960. Almost any clutch rebuilding shop should be able to fix you up with a complete clutch setup if you bring them the old one. And most any good automotive machine shop should be able to handle rebuilding your engine if needed. The rest is a wild guess unless Clarke forklift is the same company and can furnish info on what they had installed in their tugs back then.
