Need help figuring out why My monitor goes blank during the middle of playing a Game?

I have the Gateway Model: HD2201

I search through Yahoo answers and I tried the following:

-Updated drivers for Graphic Card (which is the GeForce GT240)
-The model doesnt show up on the Gateway Website so there's no drivers there
-Power options are not affecting it in no shape or form way


I have windows7. Im playing Empire Total War. It has done this when I was playing Everquest 2 also. So its not the games.

I would play the game and like maybe an hour or 2, it all of a sudden shuts off.

Need some help please. =)
