Well, i've been looking online for used cars taht are on sale around my house. Well i've decided i wanted an Acura Integra GS-R 1997. many people have recommended this car. But today, i chose to look at how it was. So i went to autocheck.com and typed in the VIN number. It says that it has 28 records for the vehicle. Now, i'm only a teenager, i wouldn't know what that means, but i'm pretty sure it's not that great. So right now i'm pretty bummed out that the Integra i was looking forward to getting was now out of my hands. So now, i'm looking for a PLAN B car. I want a car that's a sedan, fun to drive, forgiving manual transmission, gas mileage, preferably used, won't be a bummer for the insurance. Please recommend away! thanks.

Your best bet is to look for a mid-sized/compact sedan or hatchback that is between 5 and 15 years old. New drivers should avoid luxury makes (Acura, Lexus, BMW, Cadillac etc), trucks, SUVs, convertibles and sports cars. These cars are generally less fuel efficient, more expensive to buy and cost much more to insure. Full size cars, subcompact cars and minivans are acceptable but not the most recommended.
For a new driver (especially one on a budget) you cannot be too picky. The fun to drive factor should be almost an afterthought. Cars that would generally be fun to drive can be harder to drive and are more expensive to insure.
Some considerations are the Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Chevy Cavalier/Cobalt and Ford Focus. All are good cars that are affordable but do have a sportier trim.

Try Autotrader or Vehix. May i suggest a Dodge Neon Srt. That is a pretty neat car and won't break the bank. I drove a few of them but in automatic and i drove the standard se model. I am a girl and just wanted transportation. They are economical cars. the insurance is pretty good. Gas mileage is great on these. You are a teenage boy. You could drive a hummer or a grandma caddy and your insurance will still suck. If you really like that acura you can pay for the full history report or if its at a used car lot ask to see the carfax. Those records include accidents and service done to car from mechanical to oil change and also bought and sold records too. One of those sites i mentioned might help you find another Acura integra or you can check out a Neon Srt or just an manual one. Some are pretty suped up. A lot of guys and some girls use them for race and show.
