Need help choosing a job in the military.?

I'm looking to joining the military and I know that there are certain jobs that usually keep you inside the US as far as being stationed. I understand that there's deployments to the middle east, but I am really wanting to be stationed in the states because I'm married and I've got 2 kids.
 
yeah...the point of the military is to be deployed eventually! You also don't mention what branch you are joining so that makes it five times harder to answer this.

Based on the information you gave I would say the Coast Guard, AKA puddle jumpers, are the best for you. They do get deployed to many different places, but the vast majority are stationed in the United States.

You can try to get a duty assignment guaranteed when you go to Meps but that is only guaranteed for a year then you could come down on orders for another duty station.
 
No such job. If there is a position in the US, there is also the same position ANYPLACE the Army is located. Be it Europe, Korea, or the Middle East...............
