need help, caller id names dont appear

i have an audiovox cdm8600 i have put the names in my phone book already. so like my old phone when people call their name appears. I can not figure out why their names are not appearing when they are calling, i get the number they are calling from tho. is there something that i can go to to turn it on. I realize that there is prolly only me and maybe a few others still with this phone, but maybe the other phones have the same ay to fix it. Thank you in advance for any help.
 
I don't have an 8600 but on my 8910 you have to have the area code entered as well as the phone number to get caller id to work.
