it's abt melting point determiantion. i would just like to ask:
a. what will happen if the heating liquid is not stirred continuously? or why is it necessary to stir the liquid while heating it? (we were using oil bath and was asked to stir it continuously while we're heating it.) kindly explain the effect.
b. if u heat too rapidly, there's a possibility that you will miss the temperature when the compound starts to melt and when it is entirely liquid. so, is there any other effect if we heat too rapidly?
c. what happens if you add another pure substance on the melting point of a certain solid? (i have no idea O_O) what effct will it make on the melting point?
pls answer. really need help. thanks!
