My NS recommended a discectomy and another NS saying you would be back in here in a few months if you did that. I seen a NS in nashville who convinced me that a discectomy would work for me. He even said that discectomies work 90% of the time. Since he was my NS in 2004 that did my fusion, I trusted him. But it didn't work. Maybe 1 good month. That was it!
I've been to 2 orthro's, and 2 NS's since, who told me that I need a 2-level fusion.
