Need cooking help in Sims 3 for mobile nokia 5800?

I know how to cook in sims 3, I've reached 4 skill points. Now when I go for the fifth point, it just keeps on boiling over and over no matter what I do. I know that tapping the screen n making sure that the meter neither fills up nor gets empty. I just maintain the same condition but still it says that "your sim has failed to increase the skill level" or some other shit
