Need bluetooth help BADLY

Hi everyone. I usually hang out in the Tungsten E & Zire forums, but I need the help of people who work with bluetooth regularly. I don't have a T3, I just got a Zire 72 with bluetooth and I'm having a problem that I bet someone here knows how to fix.

For the most part, the bluetooth works great. My Palm & my phone play well together usually, except when it comes to my phone working as a modem for my PDA. It just will not work. WebPro will act like it's connecting, but everytime it gives me a "PPP Timeout" error message. I know I'm probably just messing up some mundane detail, entering the wrong phone number or something. If someone could give me a walk-through of everything I need to enter in the network settings menu, I'd be much obliged. My cell phone is a Nokia 3650 & I have T-Mobile service. I can get online with the phone itself just fine, so I know this SHOULD work.

Also, everytime I try to Hotsync using bluetooth, it tells me the port is in use by another application. How do I fix that?

But later, everytings was OK then! Now, these problems come to me again! This time even more serious. when I try to use the WebPro, it looks like connecting, then stucks, have to reset to go back to the Zlauncher.

Anyone who knows how to solve the problem ,please help!

Regards!

To use WebPro through your phone, you need to configure your phone's GPRS settings. Call T-Mobile and ask them about it. They can also make over-the-air (OTA) configuration by sending certain messages to your phone.

At any rate, internet browsing thru your phone is going to be very expensive since you'll be charged by kb. You can use Versamail though to download your emails (subjects only), and then retrieve only the important emails. I use this frequently, and the cost is negligible. But you also need to configure your phone's GPRS to do this.

I've given up trying to make hotsync thru bluetooth. I always get the same message that you're getting. I just use the USB connection instead.

Sorry, I made a mistake. I went back to your post and read that you can go online with your phone. That's means your GPRS is already configured. Pls disregard my first reply, except my comments on the bluetooth hot sync.

I'm close to just saying screw it & giving up. I've emailed tech support at Nokia, PalmOne, AND T-Mobile, and so far only Nokia has emailed me back & all they said is to check the compatibility of my devices. HELLO- Everything works BUT the webpro connectivity! I think the two are probably compatible if I can send messages with my freaking Palm through my phone, transfer files, etc. I'm convinced that the tech support people dont even read what you write to them. And I just love how they assume you don't know ANYTHING about your devices too. I had a problem with my phone's PC suite desktop thing a few months ago when it kept closing itself, and their tech support told me I need to go into my laptop's BIOS & change some setting that was completely unrelated to the problem. Then they told me that if I did this it might screw up my computer. What?! I tell the guy that that is NOT the problem, and that the program has worked flawlessly in the past, and that I BUILD computers so I know that it's pretty damn dumb to go messing around with your BIOS. Good way to totally screw up your computer. AAARGH I hate dealing with tech support people, especially over the phone. They never listen to me.

Okay, sorry, had to rant there. I'd just rather shove icepicks under my toenails than deal with tech support. I will try calling them though, as a last resort before I give up on this.
