Need advise on my diet. Trying to lose weight and gain muscle.

Hi, first off I'm new to the forum. I already feel like part of the family!!

I am trying to lose fat and gain muscle. I was curious if my diet is 1. Healthy and 2. Going to accomplish this job.

Its only 5:00 so please understand that I have not finished my meals for the day.

This is what I ate today:

Breakfast: (since I dont have much time) I had a Salad with only greens and no dressing. 1 tangerine and a granny smith apple.

snack: Granny smith apple

Lunch: 2 boneless skinless Chicken breasts pan fried in olive oil

snack: Granny smith apple

snack: 1/2 a cup of Dry roasted Sunflower kernals (since they are rich in unsaturated fat and other essential nutrients)

Please let me know how I'm doing so far! I greatly appreciate it!:wave:

Initially...I see you aren't getting in anywhere enough calories, nor are you taking in enough carbs for working out.

Protein, necessary for muscle building, and carbs for fuel for your workouts.

You need to take in enough calories in order for your body metabolism to kick in...and to give you enough energy on a continual basis so your body realises it's OK to not keep reserves.

There are experts on the E & F board who I'm sure will give you tons of helpful info and guide you through your diet/exercise regimen.
