Need advice studying for SAT biology?

i took biology not this past year but a year before that so i am pretty rusty but i want to get ready for it. I own Kaplan SAT biology, but i feel it goes too in depth and makes it pretty boring, but on the other hand Princeton review (2004-2005) which I enjoy reading and breaks things down in a simple manner because they say they only put stuff that is going to be on test i feel may not go into the stuff enough. I need to study for this and SAT chemistry over the summer what is your opinion?

Also did anyone start on the July 1st released Common Application.
 
Who cares if it's boring? Read through it. It's a test book, not a novel. Do what will get you better results, because that's what will be reflected on the test result.
