Need advice from senior martial artists?

I was at school today and saw this girl who had trouble typing her taekwondo belt. Thing that caught me by suprise was that she was a first degree junior black belt student (although only in eighth grade). After she caught me staring at her, she said "don't gawk! its rude! If you really have nothing else better to do than look at me, then why not help me?"

So I did. I went over and tied it for her.

She complained it was too tight.

So I did it again.

She said it was too loose.

After standing there for more than five minutes in Summer and being constantly critisized for helping, I started to get a bit angry.

The next time she moaned it was too tight, I pulled it even tigher (on purpose). She screamed at me and said that I was an evil person who had delibrately tried to ruin her image since she was going to perform in the assembly hall next period. She also accused me of not showing respect to my "senior" (I am six ranks below her) and that if I ever step into her dojang, she'll punish me by making me do push ups.

I got really frustrated at this point and told her that if she wanted me to be well mannered to her, then she should treat me like a free human being. I also, as horrible as it sounds, told her that next time that she had trouble tying her belt, to tie it around her neck and the ceiling instead (a.k.a. hinting that she should hang herself).

She grabbed me by the collar of my dress and challenged me to spar with her tomorrow break time. I have been sparring in class for my taekwondo lessons for thirty minutes each week for the last eighteen months but she has already won several medals.

Should I accept her challenge? Or what should I do? What are your throughts on this?

P.S. I know I have been very rude in the end! I am very sorry for it!
now, I am not challenging either of you two- but I'll just like to know what I've done wrong? besides speaking like that (which is very unacceptable), I really tried to help her. If she had a better attitude (if she had said thank you just once throughout the entire situation), then this might not have happened.....
to the third answerer: dunno. that was why I was staring in the first place. I wasn't being rude right at the start..just suprised....(I assure you I wasn't raising my eyebrows in a mean fashion or anything of that sort)
