Three of us have founded a start-up, and are planning to share ownership evenly. We have since brought on two additional partners, and because they are only contributing part time, their share is smaller. Currently, the three founders are planning to share 25% each, while the new partners are taking 5% each. There's a remaining 15% left for additional partners. Does this seem reasonable? One of the new partners has offered to invest some cash in the business. How would I go about estimating his share of equity if he were to invest, say, 10K?
