Need a Same Sex Marriage thesis statement...?

It has to be a open ended, and clear and concise (It is an argument in favor of it). I've been working on this for the last three and a half weeks. I just seem to not be able to come up with one that is open ended.
My professor wants it to be "scientific." so..yeah
