Need a recommendation for senior citizens

I am wondering if anyone might be able to provide a recommendation as to a phone for my senior citizen aged parents.

I am looking for a phone that is simple and intuitive to use with good reception in the Nashua, NH area. It must also have good sound quality. This last is important as her biggest complaint with her current phone is that it is difficult to hear even when the phone is at its loudest sound volume. She is not hard of hearing, so I believe this is an issue with her phone rather than it being an age related issue.

Her current plan is on Verizon and my carrier is T-mobile, so I'd be interested in phones that are available from either of those two carriers.

I second the Nokia 6010. Its just a basic phone with everything a senior would need. I got it for free with t-mobile a while back and got rid of it b/c of a lack of features, but it should work for your parents. That thing had the best reception of any phone I have ever used. It also got dropped a lot and never stopped working. the nokia UI on that phone is intuitive and easy to use.
