need a new master cylinder gasket?

now its happend to me.as i pull the front back yesterday i noticed its wet around the gasket. tried to tighten a bit but still leaks a bit. do i need jut the gasket or are the lids bad also?

They make a kit for this. Do yourself a favor and just get the whole kit. I just replaced mine and made the mistake of just trying to replace the gasket and it didn't work so I got the kit. The kit isn't much more money.

No, I just looked to see if I had it and I don't. But dawg gave it to me so I'd just send him a pm and he can tell you the p/n.

I found the p/n. For my bike it's 46423-05B. Not sure what year your bike is.

If your SG is an '09 this won't fit. Either the dealer or dawg can give you the right p/n for your bike. But I'd trust dawg more..... ; )

called dealer and got and paid for the new master cylinder kit, just gota get over there in next day or so and pick it up. thanks to all that helped and a thumbs up to dawg.

My 08 SG front brake master cylinder had seapage from day one. The reason it was seaping was that there was brake fluid on top of the gasket. Cleaned the gasket, no more seapage. Sombody on this forum also reported this too. Could be a cheap try before spending $ on a kit
