Need a little help on "dirt bikes"?

Please go a little easy on terminology, this will be my first bike.
sorry i have 4 questions to ask, but they are short

one of my friends neighbors has an XR100 in his garage( i think its a 94) and he wants to get rid of it. He said he'll sell it to me for 200 bucks, but i just need to get a chain. He showed me it, and it starts on the second kick and runs like a beast (a good thing) and to my knowledge has no problems and is in great general condition.

So, is this worth it?
how much is a chain?
anythings i should look for to determine quality?
and will it haul around 170lbs?

i dont expect too much from this bike so im not concerned about high speeds and such since im a pretty big kid.
 
The price sounds good if it runs. If you buy a new chain, check the wear on the sprockets. If the teeth are worn to where they are "hook" shaped, you should replace THEM too, as running a new chain on worn sprockets will ruin the new chain.

Lube the chain every time you start riding another day.
