I work in a company next to a pick/pack/production warehouse. Everything in that warehouse uses RFID tags, and all the equipment there causes a pretty crappy situation for cell phone users in the building. Once you get to an east-facing window (The nearest cell towers are a few hundred yards east) there's no problem, but everyone has issues.
I currently have a PPC-6700 on Sprint PCS. I've got a two-hour delay to send or receive text messages, calls are spotty (and Sprint's call quality has been nothing but great for me), and web browsing is simply impossible. I am looking at the Samsung n740 (the one that is clamshell for regular phone and has a keyboard for texting) on Verizon or a Motorola Q on Sprint. My phone has to have a QWERTY keypad; I plan to use it for web browsing and texting most of the time. (Company policy doesn't like talking on cell phones, so texting is a lot easier for me)
Here's the thing: if I go Sprint, I want to take advantage of the SERO plan, so I'll need a prepaid phone for at least 30 days. That way, I won't be in the Sprint database from what other SERO threads have said.
Any input is appreciated, as is any advice to boost my cell phone signal.
