I need a bike with the following features:
1. Can go on a mildly rugged dirt path through a forest and up a mountain to take me to work.
2. has a basket for one bag half full of groceries.
3. comfortable and fast, $500 or under.
I don't like those skinny bikes with thin wheels either. they look weird to me and too flimsy.
what can you recommend. I need to know what type of bike will work for me and the name of a good brand.
