I've been having problems with my neck for a very long time...I was hit in the back of the neck years ago and don't know if thats what is causing the problems now...my neck hurts me so bad..it hurts the worse in the lower part of the neck where the lower bone is..I have headaches and pain runs down my arms at times..does anyone else have these problems??..I'm 38 and I feel like by the time I"m older I won't be able to move it at all..

With the type of symptoms you note you need to see your primary care physician ASAP. Then he/she can take x-rays and determine if you may need CT or MRI. If they do find anything you can then be referred to an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon. Also consider going for massage if that helps.

That sounRAB like muscle spasms. You need to see a doctor ASAP for testing and referral to a specialist.

Due to Job closing down..I don't have insureance to see anyone..so I have to suffer with it..it's hurt me in the past but it has got worse...

There are an infinite nuraber of possible causes ranging from mere muscle strain all the way to significant cervical disc and vertebrae problems. Can you go to some kind of urgent care where at least they'd do a cursory exam and maybe give you some prescriptions? Or go to the Emergency Room at a county hospital which accepts patients without insurance (though they can bill you for all charges).

Thanks spainaz....I just hurt all the time my whole neck hurts but I have notice.....if this makes sense.. it hurts the worse on the bone thats in the middle of the upper back close to the neck between shoulder blades the one that sticks out the most..I don't know what bone that is but it seems it hurts me the worse....I'm out of insuranace right now due to job closing down so I can't go to the dr...I take over the counter med..and it don't help at all..I hope this makes some sense.

Like SpineAZ said the causes are too numerous to list...

Mine personally are caused by torn fascia (connective tissue) so the muscles are tring to keep themselves aligned via constant contraction...Sadly they don't communicate with each other in when they aren't operating autonomically like breathing or purposefully like when you move them of your own accord... so no cooperation means disharmory which results in battle of the muscles to align, equals muscle spasms.

You should be able to find good pictures of spine (anatomical spine pictures and diagrams) on the web. While you can't be sure exactly what you are feeling, a diagram may help. Just know that in different people, different levels are more prominent to the touch

also my neck leans to the left all the time..I'm in so much pain...I try to streighten it but it just goes back to the left...the upper back and neck pain is so bad..I stay upset all the time because of the pain...

I don't have any pain in lower back at all... sometimes its sore but thats everyone....I've got something new going on and don't know if its due to my neck pain or I've pulled something..I don't remeraber pulling anything if I did..I've got pain on the left side of my buttocks that runs all the way down the back of my leg that goes in the middle of my foot..it's hurting pretty much all the time I can bend my leg and it seems to hurt worse..I think I'm falling apart

It sounRAB similar to sciatic nerve pain. If you look at a picture of the sciatic nerve you'll see how it travels down the leg. Many people with sciatica don't have much, or any, back pain although sciatic pain originates in the low back.

The neck is similar. Often people have pain down the arm and into fingers but no neck pain. Or they think they have a shoulder problem and later find out the shoulder pain is caused by a cervical nerve being impinged (pictures of cervical dermatomes show the nerve paths).
