Hello !
2 days ago, i was working out (press bench) and when i was lifting the dumbells , i felt something that pulled in my neck, just behind my ear, and suddenly it started a big headache ! i really dont know waht happenned but, for being my neck i thnink is serious, now, if a do any kind of strong movement, it starts giving me a headache, does this really take a while to disappear ? ,, what could it be, and what should a do?,, i will appreciate your advices,, thank you !

The nerves that supply that part of your head/neck attach to the spinal cord at C3 or C4 and it sounds as if you may have herniated a disk and it's pressing on the nerve to that side of your neck. Heavy lifting can herniate disks.

See your doc and see about getting an MRI of your neck. They can resolve with rest so no more lifting until you know.

Could be a herniated disk, but it could also be just a spasm of the neck muscles. Either one could produce those symptoms, and a doctor would have to examine you to see which one it is. In either case, no more lifts that put strain on that area until the problem is dealt with.

If it is a muscle spasm, gently tilting your head away from the painful side may stretch it out and provide you some relief.

thank you for your responses , i really appreciate it !
I hope is not a herniated disk . Im going to the doctor to check this out.
The strange thing is that i can do my regular activities without any problem.

Just some suggestions.

When you lift the arms and especially with such heavy weight, the scapula lifts and the muscles such as the levators and scalenes in the neck area and other combining muscles, contract. If there was a problem there to start with (contracted muscles), they go into locking position (pretty much like repeatative injury). If they shut down in that contracted state, because the weight might have been greater then your muscle's flexibility to return to normal, that would definitely be causing you headaches, as they are shortened and shut in a state of contraction compressing nerves and pulling short other structures and out of alignment.
Your doc may send you to a physio, of have you have an MRI, or suggest something else, if it is only muscular.
Physiotherapy, as well as a deep tissue massage, or rolfing etc., may be beneficial, but I would delay the weight lifting so that you don't do any more damage at the moment.
