neck clicking

i have a clicking in the back of my neck when i turn it to the left and then again when i return it to look straight ahead

It's most likely a problem with your upper vertebrae. Sounds like you might have a cartilage deficiency or perhaps a slipped disk (which is more unlikely, considering you don't seem to have any pain). If you start having sharp pain in your neck or upper back, you should see a doctor immediately. If you start having a dull pain, that's probably not as serious but you should still have it checked out.

I have been in a bicycling accident, Iowa, in July as well as a recent fall in my home. The pain, by the end of the day is really annoying, but it is the clicking that gets me. I have lost a great deal of ROM as a result as not moving means no clicking. I only take Aleeve. I am seeing an orthopaedist in the a.m. for a knee injury from the most recent fall and will ask him for a recommendation. Jan
