Navy Paint Theme

Very nice. I really like how it is sort of a rolling shadowbox with your progression during your service and how it sort of blends with the blue paint and doesn't get to "loud". Please don't take it wrong, the only thing I don't like is the US Navy badge on either side of the tank. I think it is covering up some great work (even though those badges are pretty awesome on their own) and the US navy emblem on the rear fender was enough.

Awesome job Cutting Edge did for you. Wish my uncle was still alive so I could con him into doing a set of tins for me...

Thanks for your service sir.

FCCM(SW) retired.

I too after being in the Navy for 7 years had the same vision. Why T.F. would anyone want haze gray!?!? Anyway, great scheme and great colors. I take it you were enlisted and moved through the ranks?

Thanks. Yup...12 1/2 enlisted and 12 1/2 officer finishing up as a pilot. They made a mistake on my age when I applied for flight school . Good for me lol.

My honor sir. Yeah....we did go back and forth on the topic of the emblems quite a bit. Originally the final design didn't have the candy coat and I wasn't feeling it. I was like....it looks like a bike with a bunch of pics all over it. The guy then suggested covering it all with a blue candy coat to subdue it a bit. Once he said that I was like....that's it! So the emblem on the rear was always going to stay masked off. We discussed the tank emblems. We could have left it on masked, taken it off or covered it up with candy too. After seeing some mock ups, I just liked the look of the tank emblem and flag detail (would have been lost somewhat with a candy coat over it) masked.
