navy boot camp questions?

my boyfriend just went to boot camp on november 4 and i just had some questions. like how often do they get to call home? when will the package with their stuff be sent? how often should i mail him, like everyday or just after he mails me back? and will he get time after he graduates to come home? especially because he'll be graduating so close to Christmas?
 
Mail him as often as you like. Getting mail during boot camp is like christmas times 10!! I only got to call home 3 times when I went to boot camp, but that was in 2003. I'm not sure how they work it now. I would recommend letters only though. Anything sent to recruits is inspected and will probably be confiscated. You'll get more details on his first letter home. Most likely he won't have much time after boot camp, and they probably won't let him leave the area. Anyone I wanted to see afterwords had to come up to Great Lakes to see me! Good luck, hope your relationship is strong, you are both going to need it.
