Ok, here's the deal. I have to work Saturday, either in the morning or in the afternoon. Now I work at a gas station and the road will be closed off for a parade so in essence, I will be getting paid to watch a parade. Now, it's also the day of Sadler's final Nationwide start of the year. Should I work in the morning when the road is still open (I would actually have to work) and watch the race live or DVR the race and get paid for watching a parade?

I'm with Storm on this one, as long as there is not a good chance of you finding out the winner before you get to watch it I would say to DVR it. No commercials and you can skip through long cautions after they show the pitstops. Maybe you'll get some candy during the parade?

I agree with Storm & Trego if there are going to be some cute girls i'd hang out for the parade and if the parade is going to be a fun one then why not. BTW what's going on in your town that your having a parade?

But beware, watching TV or listening to the radio could blow the end of the race for you....LOL!! I hope Elliott does a fine job Saturday.

DVR BABAY,,,,,

As I always tell my bosses, I get paid by the hour not the job.

Think of it as a day off. You will still get paid, not have to pump the gas, go home and watch the race.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Well if the road is going to be closed, and you don't expect any customers, then bring a TV and watch the race and parade at the same time. Any boss would understand since the work will be slow. You should be able to pick it up with rabbit ears if your local TV station hasn't already switched to digital signal. If they have already switched to digital then get a digital converter box and then hook your antenna up..

Where is it written that you can't have your cake and ice cream at the same time? Get paid to watch the parade and the race...!!!

Just a thought......(poof)

You have to ask yourself a few questions.
1. Do I like watching parades?
2. How hard will I have to work?
3. Will Sadler have a must-see run in the Nationwide race?

Or you could just toss a coin. : )

Are there cute girls in the parade? If so, watch and get paid for watching the parade (go to work) and watch Nascar on DVR (you can fast forward the stupid advertisements)
