Question If FONTANA was your track what would you do to it ?

Here in N.W. Ohio it's cold 11 above with snow .Still no racing for some time yet

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and leaky tire.

Cool and rainy here in unsunny South Florida and FONTANA has to do something to alleviate the SNOOZE factor. I would have to agree with the bashers yesterday about NASCAR being boring. They must put some slope on that track and some point in time; especially if they are going to force us to watch this track twice a year!!!!

Race on!!

Bristol is about 20 degrees today and gearing up for some racing in a few weeks. We are taking our 8 year old son to the Nationwide race this year, it will be his first time! I just hope we don't freeze to death! The spring Bristol race really needs to be moved back into April; it's just too cold here in March. A few years back it snowed on race day - oops!

I don't know how to fix Fontana but it's a sure snoozefest to me.

....Well the National Guard is finishing up an officer training course that ends up at Talladega . The troops do a hike/march from Fort McClellan (Anniston) to the Speedway then a 2 lap "full gear " jog of the speedway.
As for the local short track, well the true genius of the Mayor of Birmingham just had the "3 rd oldest " active race way in the U.S. torn down to build an "Aquatic and Equstrian" training center for the olympics ( which this Mayor wants in 2020).
So guess my speending money leaves Birmingham and goes to the Talladega short track.

Watkins Glen is my hometown track...or the closest one anyway...and it is snow covered *I am sure. Since its about 23+ here it can't be too much colder or warmer there.

Fontana needs some oomph put into it. Banking and maybe not so wide...I don't know. I watched most of it except for about 15 minutes when I dozed off.

well... it's (minus) -11 degrees right now at Brainerd International Raceway. The track conditions are a little less than favorable. 133 miles to the south in the twin cities it's 7 degrees. The closest NASCAR track is probably Kansas or Chicagoland, and that's about 600 miles. So! If I was a Californian, I would go to the Fontana track and kiss it.

I would steepen the banking in the turns, not the tri-oval.

Try to get some more "Daytona/Dega" into it.

Here in NJ, it 24 degress.

My hometown track is reopening this year after being shuttered last season.
