What the hell is TSN doing? After showing the Shelby 427 for 4 hours, they decide to show lousy womens curling with only 3 laps to go!!!
stupid stupid stupid !!

They did tell you to change channels to "Your local Fox station", pity the PVR never heard them, Eh.?

Best part was, they go to the Curling, you get 10 seconds and then they go to commercial break. You would have thought that they could have waited an extra 5 minutes.....

TV executives must think ladies curling is hot. Last weekend CBC HNIC got put on hold to watch a game to qualify for a quarter final match in the tp classic.

So why not watch on the FOX channel from the beginning? If it gets simsubbed then you're watching the same feed anyway. If there is a switch because of overtime, wouldn't the simsub end and the program continue with the FOX feed? Same with the PVR setting. Record from the FOX channel NOT TSN.

That "lousy" women's curling was the Canadian Championships. I guarantee that when TSN scrolled that curling would be joined after the completion of the race and there were still 10+ laps left the switchboards lit up and the e-mails flew in. Fans had been watching the playoffs all weekend and were tuning in for the match.

Curling is a very strong draw for TSN, and more important to them than the NASCAR circuit. It sucks fro NASCAR fans. With the overlap something had to give and TSN went with their bread and butter.

I shouldn't have to change channels to watch the last 3 laps of a race. TSN has to finnish what it starts. Nascar rules. They have done this before with golf too.!

I am a fan of both NASCAR and Curling and I found it unbeleivable they won't show the checkered flag in the Nascar race. You aren't going to miss much missing one end of a 10 end curling match and it wouldn't take a 1 minute to recap the shots in the first end.

Luckily I was watching live and switched to FOX to see the end, but for those who were recording or got similcasted I would have been emailing someone at TSN to complain. That is why I always record the race on the host broadcasters channel if I can't watch it live.

It seems that wierd that TSN would say they would join the curling after the race, when there were 10 laps left, then switch to curling at 3 laps. Good way to irk all the fans. I know I tuned in at 8 pm for the curling, and did a WTF when I saw NASCAR and it was going delay the curling. I thought that it was dumb to show the race and delay the once a year final of an event that has had people watching all week.

I think TSN should have bit the bullet either way - either chop the NASCAR at 8 pm and carry the finish on TSN2 (if you get it) or wait the race out. When I saw curling coverage was delayed for 10 more laps, I tuned to a different channel and came back 10 minutes later and the curling was on. ie. The damage was done and switching at 3 laps was pretty moot.

IMHO the backlash was severe when the coverage was delayed and it was a seat of the pants decision to switch away at 3 laps.

I am sure TSN had a greater obligation to the Scottie Tournament of Hearts, they have been broadcasting this forever and as others had said, it is the Canadian Women's championship....I had no problem with switching to FOX for the end of the Shelby 427...then went back to curling....I feel for PVRers though....

Well for that matter why did TSN even bother showing the race, everyone should have just watched Fox.

Then they could have shown the Curling all day.

The final was the only game played on Sunday. There were 2 playoff games on Saturday.

No, they should have delayed the start of the Final so they could have watched the Nascar on the Big Screen, then they could start hurling those rocks around......
