Nasal Congestion from Flonase?

I went into the doctor a week ago to see if they would prescribe me anything for my post nasal drip, since it was draining all the time. I have suffered from a runny nose my entire life, but I have just always dealt with it. The day I went to the doctor my nasal passages were clear, but had runny fluid. I started Flonase that night and immediately after taking the first dose I could not breathe through my nose. For a week straight my nasal congestion has not gone away and I have still yet to show any signs of improvements. I mean yes the drainage stopped going down my throat, but that is because it is stuck in my nasal passages. Is this normal with Flonase? When should I feel relief?

If you're feeling more congested on the Flonase it's possible that one of the ingredients in the Flonase is irritating your nasal passages. You should probably stop taking the Flonase and call your doctor.
