Nasal and Chest Congestion for 3 months

hi all. in december i had a severe flu - 103 degree temperature. it lasted for about two or three days and then the fever went away and i felt better. i had a lingering cough four a couple of weeks, and then that improved as well. about a month later in february, i began coughing all the time and i had bad chest congestion. once i began coughing the mucus up, the cough remained but subsided, but then my nasal passages became clogged. now for the past two months my nose is constantly stuffed up and running, and i am still coughing up some phlegm at the beginning of each day. i don't feel ill and my energy level is the same - i'm still going to the gym - but the congestion will not let up and sometimes it is a yellowish-green color, both from my nose and chest. also, my left ear feels clogged. has anyone else experienced this? do i need an antiobiotic to get rid of it? i've researched online and terms like "walking pneumonia" are really freaking me out. just not sure if this is allergies or sinuses or what. i don't have a lot of money so going to the doctor is a big deal for me, but i do want to kick this. any thoughts?
