hey there
2 years ago i tore my hamstring playing football. saw various physios massage acupuncture with no improvement. had an mri on my hamstring which came back fine and also a ultrasound scan which again came back fine.Since i had a few aches in my back i decided to see a chiropractor, had xrays done which showed narrowing at l5 s1 in my spine. My chiropractor doesn't thinks its anything to do with my hamstring pain but just wondered if any1 thought differently. I get nerve pains in the bottom of my feet occupationally and also knee pain on the same leg. i.iI have no pain in my buttock just a sharp pain right through the middle of my hamstring m thinking a nerve may be trapped at this area which is causing the shooting pain in my hamstring If so is there anything you can do to those discs to free up the nerve if anyone could help me that would be much appreciated, many thanks

The narrowing between those discs could be part of the problem with your feet and hamstring. That is the area of the back that has the nerves for the lower leg, calf coming out of it.

Personally I would stay away from a chiro unless your doctor has told you to use one. They can do more harm than good if you are not careful.

I would recommend that you see a good ortho back doc and let him see if there is anything that can be done. He might usggest therapy or some other modality. MeRAB are also available that work on nerve pain.

good luck
