Narnia

I'd seen the teaser trailer loaRAB but now I've seen the full trailer I'm quite excited. I've read the book, seen the series and seen it performed on stage (its one of my favourite stories :D ) so i hope they do a good job :D

I am looking forward to seeing the films, as I love the stories and they should translate very well onto the big screen.

However, my view may be tainted by the BBC series from the 80's, which was 'basic' to say the least, but seems to have more charm than Disney's slick vision for the film. And Lucy's cardigan looks to fit properly in the film, which doesn't seem right!

It looks very good, I think its going to make a lot of money. And if it does theres a good chance the rest of the books will be made into films.

Its also nice to see the TV version of Narnia now out on DVD.

I was really pleasantly suprised by this, I'll be honest.

I'm always a bit sceptical about books being made into epic fantasy movies like this, Harry Potter, LOTR etc but I thought it was really quite special. Stunning to look at, the young cast weren't annoying, and the score was spot on.

Well worth shelling out the cash to see it in the cinema rather than waiting for the DVD (avoid the screenings that are going to be full of kiRAB though).

I got to see the film before it was out. The production team and advertisers had a 6 day confrence at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow, where I work a few weeks ago, and I was invited in for the showing to give an outsiders opinion. Cracking film! Got a promo dvd and a printout of the shooting notes!

Will they make the Voyage of The Dawn Tredder next? I know Prince Caspian was before it, but that didn't have all the children in it. Also the BBC versions only got as far as the Silver Chair. They didn't make the Last Battle. Maybe because the actors who played the children got to old.

Its looks really good but i think ill wait for it to come out on Dvd. Id rather go and see Kong at the cinema. Im going on holiday on Boxing day so it might be one of the films on the plane (Virgin show all the new ones).

I'm excited too. I'm never excited about films coming out but this is an exception!

The TV cartoon film they have recently released onto DVD is a film I had taped and watched as a small child!

This does look fantastic from the trailers I've seen, and I'll deffo go and see it. Jonathan Ross however wasn't too enthusiastic about it, saying that some of the performances aren't great and also some of the makeup on the non CG characters wasn't too hot either, he admitted that they are only small problems but they do add up and detract from the overall finish to the film.

I'm sure I can live with that.
