I've had several bikes, and never bothered to name any of them. Then I finally ended up with a couple, that I just wouldn't want to part with. The Ultra one buddy calls "Flat Bas*#rd", and the other calls it "Dark Vader" I stick with the later as it is more acceptable in most crowds. The Road King has ape hangers on it. So my "clever in his own mind" friend dubbed it King Kong. Of course he is also the genius that called ape hangers, "monkey bars", for about 2 years before we ever corrected him on it. The Springer has been around since it was bought new in 2000, and it still don't have a name. It's the only bike I ever put a personalized tag on. "SPRUNG" was available the day I went to the DMV, and it just kinda came to me, so that's what I went with. It will probably end up with a name down the road, since I have no plans on it ever going anywhere. My old Road King ened up with the nick name "Troy". It was more of an inside joke. I found a set of huge bars for it. They were bigger than beach bars by a long shot. Everywhere I went people wanted to know where in the heck I found those bars. I always just told them I took them off of an old Troy Built tiller, and had them chromed. No telling how many people tried that once they got home.
