I read a book in the summer of 1992 that was incredible! And I can't for the life of me remember the name. It's fiction, a thriller to be specific. It starts off with someone, I believe sitting in a car, waiting for someone else, or more appropriately, trying to track down a murderer...I believe they were all prostitutes he was murdering. The two were friends from Catholic School. And as kids they broke into a priest's closet and stole a book on black magic then went out to Coney Island to cast a spell. Something happened off in the distance, which turned out to be one of the kids in the future making a deal with the Devil. Well the one committing the murders became a high power lawyer, thanks to his pact with the Devil. But as part of his payment he had to murder people and give them to the Devil. Fantastic book. I had totally forgotten about it till recently when my wife reminded me of it, and we cannot come up with the name. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
