There was a cartoon that I watched in my youth, around five years ago on Disney Channel. It focused on two (junior high/high school?) students who worked to solve crime around their schools. I remember that the main character was black and always wore sunglasses. His partner-in-crime had short black hair and was sort of gothic-looking.
I think the first episode consisted of the girl being accused of a crime she didn't commit and the main character trying to discover the truth.
