While driving around Seattle the Sunday morning of Bumbershoot last September, I heard this old rambling soul song on the radio. It was just awesome, but I can't find the name of it.
There was a woman moaning about how no matter how much she did herself up, her husband wouldn't pay her any mind and just come home and be lazy. She would make big meals and put on that estee lauder perfume, but he still wouldn't get interested and sometimes get drunk.
She ended up picking up with the neighbor (Joe?) by the end of it.
Anyone know the name of this song?
