So, we are figuring out what to name out little boy (when he arrives). My husband's family really want us to use a family name as a first or middle name. The name is Christian. The problem is, me and my husband are both atheists, and also, my family is Jewish ( I consider myself 'culturally Jewish') so I REALLY do not feel comfortable with giving my kid that name. But they have made it clear that they will be offended if we don't use it as at least a middle name. How do I politely and diplomatically tell them that it ain't happening?
@mama...I will give my kid a choice, and let him use logic and reason to figure out whether he wants to believe in god or not. Two foreign concepts to you, I'm sure.
