...these shots? With the advent of T20, cricket as we know has changed forever. With newer shots being introduced to counter every plan laid out by the bowler, name all the cricketing shots (you can think of, orthodox & unorthodox) played by a batsman. Also name the players who pioneered (first used) these shots.
For example, latest innovations like the switch-hit, scoop, helicopter, etc. were pioneered by Kevin Pietersen, Dilshan, MS Dhoni, respectively. But what about the more conventional shots (such as the cover drive, pull shot, cut, straight drive, so on), used more so in Tests and ODIs? I mean, did someone like Sunil Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar invent some shots, which are now part of everyday cricket?
