Nadia lives 11.4 km from her school and rides her bike to school everyday.

The equation d = 11.4 - 0.6t represents teh relationship between d, her distance from school in km, and t, her time spent travelling in minutes.

If she leaves hom at 8:05 a.am what time will she get to school?
 
d = 11.4 - 0.6t

When she gets to school, her distance from school is 0.

0 = 11.4 - 0.6t

11.4 = 0.6t

t = 11.4 / 0.6 = 19 minutes.

08:05 + 00:19 = 08:24.
