I've been cross referencing these phones, and trying to pick a phone that will last me a few years before screaming "get an upgrade". I went keitai, but i guess i miss my reliable symbian os :S Now with comparing these phones, What give me the better deal? the Satio appears to blow n97 out of the water, but it seems hard to come by, but with a hefty price tag... Which compares it to the n900, are any of these two devices better than the other and value? then the Aino, though it lacks a Symbian seems just as promising as the N97 :\

The N97, reliable as it is, still seems like it's lacking things,
the Satio, as power machine it is, what's the real justification of an *affordable* price tag? and symbian os comparison?
N900, Is maemo promising? (over the more familiar, affordable n97)
Aino, despite the lack of symbian, can it hold it's own for a while?

So calling all knowledgeable HoFo's, What's the better deal?

I would pick up the n900 or the nokia n97. I dont know if you heard the reviews for the satio the thing is so buggy sony ericsson has some great specs on sheet but they been dropping the ball for a long time now.

If you have a PlayStation 3 I would highly consider the Aino. It is likely to be awhile before another phone is released that supports remote play. Idea is simple, you don't need much memory in the phone when you can easily stream music & video from the PS3 (or your pc as a media server). But, I highly recommend replacing the class 2 micro SD that is included. It is not fast enough to record video at the highest supported resolution at a steady frame rate. I just put a 16G class 10 in mine.

The N900 can stream from DLNA/UPnP servers just fine. I can also stream from the N900 to my PS3. Open source at its finest.

Out of those selections, I would personally take an N900 (I did, I own one :D) but if you have to actually ask - I'd recommend the Aino (even with the horrible name).

Can't really compare the SE phones cause I have never played with either of them.

But I have had the N97 and N900.
I would rather prefer the n900.

I choose maemo > s60.
