N95 - unofficial battery

Just picked up a second battery for my n95 for a tenner... it's not an official Nokia battery, however (and 700mAh, rather than 950), and I'm not sure if this could damage the phone in any way.

Anyone know?

Cheers

I got the battery when I bought the E65, too many problems, so I returned it and will have the N95 may be 28-30/4/2007 as an exchange with additional payment.
the battery is the same as the N95, so I was allowed to keep it.

you will only find it on hong kong yahoo, the battery is a hong kong brand.
check the link for hk yahoo, it's in chinese.(the photo is for sonyericsson

there were few cases about people's phones caught fire in HK/china a few months ago.
they were all use non-oem batteries.
one of them even even explode, and the phone wasn't even on.

those were fake batteries, not third party, goki batteries has been tested and certified, and are sold by most well known high street chain store.

the nokia OEM BL-BF is at 950mah, compared to the goki 1000mah, no differences that I know of, I charge the battery ever night.

and there is'nt a 1200mah.

Generally non OEM batteries are manufactured to a much lower spec and have non existent quality control! You don't want your phone going PUFF when you stick it on charge do you? Plus 700mah is not enough, loads of us are complaining with the standard 950 not lasting long enough!

As angel says above NEVER use non OEM batteries!!

well u never know what will happen. All those news of exploring phone batteries basically seal the deal. Always get OEM. EVERYTHING.
