n95 remote problem

Hi Guys,

When I plug in my remote, a screen comes up that asks me for enhancement type. Should this screen come up? I have read that the N95 automatically detects the remote. I select "headset" mode and I can hear the caller, but the caller can't hear me and I can't control the remote. Do you think my remote is defective? thanks

I have exactly the same problem as you. I am beginning to wonder if my headset is defective as well. I tried switching the lock on the remote but it doesn't help.

does it ask you to select an "enhancement" when you plug it in? if so, what do you select?

no. it's like u plug in a headset in another s60 phone. The headset sign comes on and thats it.

Mine just works as soon as it's plugged in, doesn't ask to select an "enhancement".

Well, Nokia USA can't help me at all so I think I am going to RMA my phone. Darn it!
