N95 battery survives!!!

My N95 was fully charged around 8:30 am. Took it to school. Played music for about 25 mins until I got to school. Got a couple of calls at school. Went to work. Played Sudoku at work with the music in the background for about 30 mins. Watched a couple of videos. And now it's about 8:37 pm and guess what? The battery bars are still completely full!!!!!

So has you can see, it really depends on how you use it. I went through a full day and the battery bar is still full. So this proves that the battery isn't as bad as people said it were to be. But if you're gonna use it for 12 hr straight with everything running in the background, what the heck do you expect the battery life to be like?

I wouldn't say the batt is bad either. I had mine running since 10 this moring, I've made about 20 minutes of calles, 30 minutes of internet surfing (EDGE), and about 150 text (i know I text a lot). And now the warnign sign is coming on. Not bad if you ask me. My treo has the same batt life.

Yeah. I'm acutally seeing how long it would take to run out my first bar. I've been playing music and taking pictures.....but nothing yet.

Shooting video and taking pictures seems to be the real battery drainer. It's supposed to be able to run 6 hours of talk time on a single charge if that's all you do. That's not bad considering many phones can't claim that. The problem is that the phone is too inviting to sit idle and use strictly for voice. Either way, I've got a back up battery on the way so I'm trying to eliminate the problem the expensive way.

I also noticed the batter is pretty darn good. I was attempting to condition it on Saturday and Sunday. It required me to run GPS, Bluetooth, and wifi on top of my normal calls. I guess video and pictures are what I should have been doing to drain the battery. Overall, I am impressed with this phone. I am not sure what people expect from such a tiny device. Everything works fine for me.

expansys....or the US version of it. I'll link it up though as it's OEM for only 30 something dollars.

i am happy with the battery life on my N95

over night charge and i am good for the hole day and most of the next day of normal use

My N95 has been such a dream phone for me. The battery life totally kills my 8801 and N80...thank you Nokia for the total package. :-)

Posting from my N95 via wifi...

Well, sure the battery's going to last if you don't use the damn phone all day!

My N95 won't hold a charge, but that's because I run the Web browser, music player, and Maps application for hours at a time, sometimes in combinations. I did a test the other day and with my comfortable heavy usage (Bluetooth always on, screen at full brightness, web browsing at my leisure, and GPS in the car), it lasted 7 hours to the minute. That was without putting it on the car charger either.

Tomorrow I'm going to start another test with Bluetooth turned off. I realize now that I really don't need it on when I'm not using it nearly as much now that I moved. I also have a feeling the added A2DP profile might be adding some power weight to Bluetooth also.

It's not the best battery, but it's definitely not the worst. I don't think a spare is needed; just a proper charging session once a day or so.

N95 is still kicking on the same charge. I was really worried about the battery life based on what you "power users" said. I may be more average than I thought. The talk time is very solid and that is what matters to me the most. It's still a phone, right?

yeah, well I don't want to hear anymore complaining on batteries. I was really worried when I read the forums before I got my phone. But now, I know that the bad battery reviews were really exaggarated. With proper conditioning, most average users on the high end are happy with the battery life. So it's good to know that most n95 owners agree

Nah ... the battery laughs at that.
Top drainer - even faster than Tomtom ?

Use it as a PC USB modem !

Sheesh, I used my 6680 as one on my desktop yesterday - and from fully charged it was complaining about battery within an hour !

But yeah, it's a good battery.
But then it IS a LiPo rather than a conventional Lithium.
Thankyou Nokia for that.
I'm really quite impressed with its performance - particularly since I've owned an N80 .
