N93i UP, CLOSE, & PERSONAL!!! <lotsa pics!>

Hi fellas I finally got it so I thought I'd share some pictures witch'all......
..i'll also post my impressions after i've played around with it..from the moment I saw the design I knew I just had to have it....enjoy!!!
All questions are welcome of course...so ask away!!!

I didn't even have the chance to charge it up and turn it on yet....thought i'd capture the moment with pics before i take off all the plastic stuff, i am afraid though to take off the cover of the outer glass shell since so far i haven't found anyplace selling covers for the glass, however if anyone here is curious....a regular N93 screen cover WILL FIT on the N93i.

Thanks for looking!!!

Not sure why? SE is obviously going to support the max as they manufacture their own cards anyway. I know Sony just released the 8gig MS so I'm curious to see which SE will begin to support that. With that, the iphones storage space doesnt seem as impressive....or the N91s for that matter!

o_o A lot of pictures indeed. I didn't know that it is already released.

Can you take some photos from the phone? I saw that Nokia updated the picture algorithm so that there'll be less noise, but the photo was blurry. Is this better now?

Also, is this FP1 or just the same old Symbian v9.1?

Give us your impression about Pics and Videos. Better then N73 / N93 on photos? And the videos, same as N93 or a little better? Thanks!

I agree, but other than SE's which phones support more than 2gigs. I've been out of the PPC world for so long i'm not sure what they support. I know an hp ipaq a few years back had support for a 2gig SD and a 4g Compact flash drive simultaneously. Other than that, which phones support more than Nokias.

You actually just hit the nail on the head as to why Nokia doesn't support 4GB as of yet (IMHO). First off, because the original filesystem support wasn't there (the whole FAT16/FAT32 argument that's been run through already), but secondly I think it's because they have to worry so much about 3rd parties, since they don't control the miniSD spec.

Even though there are 3rd party cards for MS Duo's and whatnot, SE owns the spec, therefore controls it -- so it's not too hard for them to support, since they can just tell the 3rd parties that they have to meet x requirements or they won't be able to call it an MS Pro Duo or whatever.

Basically, you control the format, it makes it easier for you to move quickly on higher capacities...

Congrats, the N93i is a great phone.
What about sharing a sample pic with us in light and in low light?
also how much did you pay for it and where>?

Just to clarify, the N800 supports standard 4GB SD cards just fine (not officially but they do work, check out itT forums for more info)... however they do no support SDHC cards (even 4GB) yet (though there is hope as it's possible it will after a simple Linux kernel option change and re-compile).

However, this has nothing to do with other N-Series devices as the N800 runs a ARM port of the Debian Linux OS, and not a variant of Symbian OS.

Oh, and I'm the first to say I thought the n93i looked ugly... I still think it's kinda ugly, but it's growing on me... if I thought the cam and video were better on it then on the n93 I'd probably seriously consider it.
