I just got my n93 and decided i might get rid of it but just out of curiosity, i got some questions. When i put the sim card in, the phone says "allow sim to send message" over and over. Also it seems i cant just view my contacts on my sim without having to copy them over? Seems un nokia like. Any other getting started issues i should know about with this thing? What gives?

I don't know about the SIM message, but you most certainly can access your SIM contacts without copying them to the phone.

When you open the contacts menu and it asks if you'd like to transfer SIM contacts, selecting "No" gives you an empty list. If you hit Options and scroll to SIM directory, you should see all of your SIM contacts without having to copy them. This may seem a bit much if you don't want to copy them over, but it is possible.

Also, why not add them? It'll make life much easier while you're using it, and if you're selling it, you can always hit *#7370# to clear the phone, including the contacts, before you box it back up again.

Yea i got that far and just figured it was a pain in the butt. Im still debating if i should keep it. Also, the message thing is strange. It happens every so often as if the sim card is sending a message to the network. I just accept it but it does nothing. I always told myself never to veer away from s40 phones. Hmmm.

I also noticed that when i put my sim card into the phone, it seemed like all my internet settings were already set up. Does this phone do it automatically?

I'm pretty sure they're "enabled" too. All you have to do is change the settings in the applications which will use access points to use the proper ones and you should be good to go.
