N80 WCDMA radio question 1900, 2100, both??

I asked in the Cingular forum if the 1900 mHz WCDMA in an N80 would work with the 1900 mHz Cingular 3G network here in the states and they said that the N80 only has 2100 now. The Nokia N-series web says "1900 or 2100" and in another place it uses the word "and" (meaning that it has both freqs). Can anyone tell me what this phone is shipped with? I figure that I could connect to Cingular 3G with a 3G sim if it has 1900 WCDMA...

2100. I have two of them here at PC Mag, and there's no 1900 version. Nokia was going to make a 1900 version if Cingular wanted it, but they expressed no interest.

Thank you. So it seems that if one were to want an N series phone, they should just make sure that it has the GSM freqs they need and forget about using it on any US 3G type network?

The n75 will have 1900 and 3g will be a possibility. This will be the first N series released by Cingular so I will make sure to try and get one unbranded

Ahh, yes I remember now, and I have heard that they are having problems with all of Cing's BS that they make Nokia do to the phones... I would def get an unbranded one.

I wonder what's the lesser of two evils? Not having 3G and going with an N73 yet having a 3.2MP camera, or going with an N75 and having the 2MP with 3G. The N73 sure seems to take great pictures on the s60 pic of the day thread...

i think it will depend on your needs. i would think the n75 has a better build quality from the pics ive seen and obvious high speed data capabilities but the n73 is the next best thing to a real digital camera(provided your not taking night shots)
